Councillor Martin Potter has been delighted to again support NCS (National Citizen Service) in Medway over the summer.
NCS is available to 16 and 17 year olds and is a programme providing the opportunity for young people to learn about their community, government, volunteering, and to develop social skills, make new friends, and contribute to their community.
The programme finishes with a graduation ceremony where the young people talk about their NCS experience, the social action project, and they also receive their NCS graduation certificate. Councillor Potter attended the political question time evenings in July and August, as well as the graduation ceremony. Councillor Potter said:
"It was wonderful to learn about the inspiring social action projects, and to also hear about the fun time had and new friends made. My congratulations to all the community minded young people who chose to spend some of their summer holidays making a difference for our communities."
