Shadow Cabinet member Councillor Habib Tejan and the Rt Hon Kelly Tolhurst were pleased to join the Lord Mayor of London, the Shadow Secretary of State for Wales and the Leader of the Opposition in Gravesham, Councillor Jordan Meade at the service of thanksgiving for the 30th anniversary of the Maritime Volunteer Service.
The service which was held at All Hallows by the Tower in London and attended by His Royal Highness Prince Michael of Kent was a great opportunity to hear about the UK and Medway's rich maritime history where the congregation paid tribute to volunteers.
The attendees also shared a desire for more women and young people to join the Maritime volunteer service to continue their good work long into the future.
