Over the weekend Councillors Perfect and Clarke represented the Conservative Group at the Mayor's Dedication Service. The choral evensong service was led by the Dean of Rochester, where the Mayor was placed in his stall in the quire. The Mayor’s Dedication Service exercises a right first conferred on his office in the year 1448 when Henry VI reigned.
Councillor Clarke said:
“It was a pleasure to attend the Mayors Dedication Service at the Rochester Cathedral, with colleagues from across the council, and from the wider community. Our congratulations to Councillor Nestorov and Councillor Hamandishe for their new roles serving as Mayor and Deputy Mayor respectively.”
