Last week Shadow Cabinet member Councillor Wildey and local ward councillor Roger Barrett attended the 10th Anniversary inauguration of the Nasir Mosque in Gillingham.
Nasir mosque was opened in 2014 by the worldwide head of Ahmadiyya, a branch of Islam which grew out of British India in the late 19th century. The mosque is used for congregational prayers, events and meetings. The Medway Conservative Group stands alongside Nasir mosque’s key message of “Love for all, hatred for none” which is proudly displayed on the outside of the mosque.
Cllr David Wildey said,
“It was great to be at the 10th Anniversary inauguration of the Nasir Mosque and hear from local religious leaders. The Medway Conservative Group stands with the Muslim community in Medway and thanks them for all the great and positive work they carry out in our communities.
