The Deputy Leader of the Opposition, Councillor Turpin, and Member of Parliament for Rochester and Strood, Rt Hon Kelly Tolhurst MP, were delighted to welcome The Rt Hon Steve Barclay MP, Secretary of State for the Environment, Food and Rural Affairs to Medway this weekend. The visit provided an opportunity to discuss environmental and rural affairs issues, particularly relating to Medway.
The Secretary of State also attended an event with members of the Rochester and Strood Conservative Association, discussing progress on cutting inflation and growing the economy, and updating members on the work of his department in backing British farmers.
