Councillors David Brake and Barry Kemp, alongside their wives, were delighted to once again attend this year's Kent Charity Awards.
The awards, which are held to recognise those who make the lives of other better, took place at Leas Cliff Hall, Folkestone. It was an excellent and humbling occasion where the hard work and perseverance of the many charities and their staff was able to be showcased.
Councillor Brake was honoured to present a special recognition award to Kent, Surrey and Sussex Air Ambulance service, who last year alone were called out to help over 2,500 people in life threatening conditions. It seems fitting for a Medway Councillor to have presented this award given the recent relocation of Air Ambulance KSS to their new home at Medway's Rochester Airport.
Councillors Brake and Kemp would like to personally thank all involved for their hard work and dedication, and particular thanks to their table-mates - the team from Medway Foodbank (pictured).
