This weekend Councillors Jan Aldous, Rainham Central, and Martin Potter, Rainham North, were delighted with the excellent turnout at Riverside School Rainham by members of the community getting involved with the Rainham Bloomers project.
Lots of weeding and planting took place, with Councillor Aldous heralding the event as 'Community spirit at its best!'
Councillor Potter said: "It was great to join fellow Rainham Bloomers volunteers for an action day at Riverside Primary School, Rainham. The project is to beautify this area of Rainham for the RHS 'It's Your Neighbourhood' competition, and it's progressing really well. It's also so great to see the community, school, church and the Council all working together for the benefit of the school and local people."
