Councillor Rupert Turpin this Saturday swapped his bed and the roof over his head for a sleeping bag to take part in The Street Soccer Foundation's sleep out under the stars at Priestfield, home of Gillingham FC.
The event, organised by Keith Mabbutt, CEO of the Street Soccer Foundation, gave those who took part chance to help really understand some of the realities that young homeless people in the local community face, whilst raising money and awareness.
Money raised from the event will now assist the Foundation in supporting young homeless people and those at risk, through the continued delivery of the nationally acclaimed Street Soccer Academy, run in partnership with Gillingham FC across the County.
