River ward Councillors Andrew Mackness and Habib Tejan are determined to make sure residents enjoy a trouble-free winter this year, having introduced salt bins across St Mary's Island.
The bins, which have been funded from the Councillor's ward improvement funds, are stocked with salt supplied by Medway Council and will go a long way to ensuring road users remain safe and reassured in the knowledge that roads will be well gritted across the island.
