The new Waterfront UTC was officially opened on Thursday 6th December (2018) by former education secretary and UTC pioneer, Lord Baker of Dorking.
The UTC is part of the Howard School Trust and has made remarkable progress under the leadership of Principal, Paul Cottam.
Cllr Martin Potter said:
"It was a great pleasure to attend the grand opening, and it was so inspiring to hear Lord Baker, Mr Cottam, and the Howard Trust CEO, Paul Morris, speak so passionately about the amazing opportunities the UTC will be providing for our young people in Medway."
The UTC is planning to expand its age range and align with the standard secondary admissions process with children starting in year 7 (11 years of age) from 2020.
