It is with great pleasure we announce Councillor Sijuwade Adeoye has decided to join the Medway Conservative Group and run as a Conservative in the upcoming elections.
Cllr Adeoye has been serving Chatham Central with grace, dedication and integrity and we are delighted that she has chosen to bring those qualities to us and continue serving Medway as part of the Conservative Group.
Cllr Adeoye said: “I am looking forward to joining the Medway Conservatives and working with my new colleagues to continue my hard work supporting the residents of Medway and I will continue to be committed and devoted to the residents of Chatham Central. It has been a difficult transition for me but the Group have welcomed me with open arms and been so kind and warm, which I really appreciate. I am committed to the pledges of the manifesto and look forward to seeing what the future holds. ”
Brigita Amey, the Conservative Association Chair for Gillingham and Rainham, said: “I’m excited to welcome a new hard working Member to the Group and I know from sitting down with her recently that she will do a fantastic job for her residents as a Conservative Member. I know this has been a brave decision for Cllr Adeoye, but I am confident her new colleagues will give her any support she needs to settle in.”
Cllr Alan Jarrett also said he was excited to welcome a new Councillor: “Cllr Adeoye and I have always enjoyed a good relationship and I’m happy she’s decided to join us. She has done a lot for her local community and continues to do so everyday through her work at Citizens Advice and I know she will be a real asset to the Group.”
Welcome to the Group Councillor Adeoye! We’re excited to welcome you to our team and see what valuable work you continue to do as a Conservative.
