The Leader of the Opposition, Councillor Gulvin, and Opposition Spokesperson for Children, Young People and Education, Councillor Perfect, were delighted to visit Mid Kent College, for a morning. The first part of their visit conducted of a tour around the building, learning more about the range of courses that the college offers as well as seeing students in action learning. The second part of the visit focused on a discussion with the college about the opportunities, but also the challenges ahead in the further education sector.
Commenting after the visit, Councillor Perfect, said
"It was great to hear about the College's ongoing work to provide high quality further education places, and deliver opportunities for their 6,000+ students across three campuses. It was also good to hear about the visit to their Maidstone Campus, recently, by the Education Secretary, demonstrating the government's commitment to the sector".
