Following the release of Medway Council’s draft revenue and capital budget for 2024/5, the Leader of the Opposition and Opposition Spokesperson for Finance and Strategy, Councillor Adrian Gulvin, said the following:
“We have always been clear that Medway every year faces budgetary challenges. Location specific factors along with high need for our services, means that the Council will always face difficult decisions balancing its budget.
I would welcome further discussion and engagement with the administration on the way forward in the days ahead.
The Opposition will provide a full response to the Revenue and Capital Budget for 2024/5 at the Budgetary Full Council meeting later this month”.
