Last week on 18th May, we elected Medway Conservatives new leadership team!
Our new Leader is Cllr Adrian Gulvin, who is also a Councillor in Lordswood and Walderslade ward. He was formerly the portfolio holder for Resources and so has a vast amount of knowledge that will aid his stewardship of the Group in the future.
Our new Deputy Leader is Cllr Elizabeth Turpin, who is also a Councillor in Strood Rural ward. She has campaigned on a number of issues which are important to her residents and will bring that determination to her role as Deputy Leader.
Our Whip will remain as Cllr Barry Kemp who is a Councillor in Rainham South West ward. He has been an asset to the former Conservative administration and will continue his good work supporting the group through our temporary period as the opposition.
Together, we have a very strong team who each bring knowledge, experience and determination and will be key to returning Medway Council to a Conservative administration in 2027!
